Good news for people who have been using FCK editor via the Grails plugin. Thanks to the people at http://gualdi.org/ for fixing it.

The new edition of fckeditor plugin for Grails seems to work properly with the most recent 1.0 releases. Also at first glance seems more configurable.

Finally, my old workaround can stand down (I have changed the article to link to the new plugin).

It can be installed as a regular plugin, see http://www.grails.org/FCKeditor+plugin. Before installing it, make sure you remove any old fck-editor artifacts from your project (plugins/fckeditor and under web-app too) then do a grails clean.

I’ve upgraded my local source for this site to use the new version, it took me about half an hour to do so!
